We’re incredibly excited to introduce one of our latest projects in Corinda, a project where an exceptional setting, thoughtful design and a beautiful family have come together to create something truly special.

Set within a remarkable riverside property, this project presents an exciting opportunity to completely rethink the existing pool area and create an outdoor space that feels connected, considered and made to be enjoyed.
And we’re only just getting started.
Our beautiful clients came to us with a clear vision, they wanted to spend more time outdoors with their young family, making better use of the incredible setting they had fallen in love with when they first discovered the property.
The existing pool area felt tired, enclosed and disconnected from both the home and its surroundings. The large glass pavilion dominated the space, while established planting further concealed the landscape and restricted the stunning river outlook.
The brief was to open the space up, reconnect it with the landscape and create a relaxed, high-end retreat that felt like a natural extension of the home, contemporary in its approach, while still respecting the character and established style of the residence.
Designing to integrate
One of the most exciting aspects of this project is the opportunity to let the river outlook become a defining part of the experience.
The design will open up the existing pool area, creating stronger visual connections to the landscape and allowing the surrounding greenery and river views to take centre stage.
The addition of a 6x4 Pergolux pergola with a louvered roof is a feature that will provide flexible shade allowing control over the elements over hours spent by the pool.
We’re also looking forward to including new linen travertine tiling around the pool, complemented by brick steppers that will create a transition between the new landscape and the existing brickwork around the home.
Thoughtful planting will be woven throughout the hardscape to soften the space, introducing texture and seasonal interest, while carefully selected native species will help integrate the new landscape into the existing environment.
Every element has been carefully considered with the family's lifestyle in mind, from creating safe and practical spaces for their young children, through to providing places to relax, entertain and simply enjoy being outdoors.

Working with the site
As exciting as the design is, every site brings its own set of considerations.
Here, the sloping terrain, existing structures and infrastructure, changes in level and limited information about some of the conditions beneath the surface mean that careful planning will be essential as construction begins.
Rather than seeing these as obstacles, we see them as part of the process, understanding the site, working with what already exists and allowing the design to respond as the project unfolds.
This is where experience plays an important role.
Beautiful design is only one part of a successful project. The real value comes from being able to bring together design thinking, technical knowledge and construction experience to navigate the realities of a site while keeping the client's vision at the centre.
