When Isabel and Harri first approached us to do their landscaping, we were absolutely thrilled they chose us to collaborate and curate a premium design that would support their lifestyle. Their home was already immersed in beauty and nature, revealing our approach to respect and enhance its surroundings.
By thoughtfully introducing complementary planting, we’ve created a garden that feels connected to the landscape, blending seamlessly with the existing environment and allowing nature to remain the focal point, while integrating contemporary accents closer to the home.
To achieve an elegant feel closer to the home, a timeless feature tree like the Crepe Myrtle was selected in the surrounding garden beds for its full display of papery white Spring blooms. Underplanted with Rhaphiolepsis ‘Oriental Pearl’, a favourite for a neatly rounded form and abundant white flowers, with a carpet of fragrant Gardenia ‘Radicans’ to surround this gorgeous design.
Gaura for days! Really making a comeback in recent years is the Gaura (Oenothera lindheimeri), once planted everywhere by letterboxes in the 90’s, now adorns contemporary residential gardens for it’s striking upright form, soft movement and delicate sprays of pinkish white flowers. Gaura is planted En Masse by the pool for impact, allowing their elegant meadow-cottage inspired flowers to shine.
Beyond the home and pool area, a mini rainforest inspired boardwalk awaits, handcrafted to take you between mature trees to a once forgotten zone of the property. While we were clearing the weathered boardwalk and making way to install a new one, we uncovered a garden shed and unlocked a hidden area in a once utilised zone, now overgrown with vines and vegetation. Can you imagine unlocking a secret on your property like this, what could you imagine here?
Stay tuned to see how we develop this hidden retreat through the rainforest boardwalk.
