Brookie’s Beach House // Site Update 2

We are back again at Brookie’s Beach House, a project that has had a huge amount of care, effort, and hands on time poured into it over the past few months, and it is finally reaching the stage where you can really feel how all the pieces are coming together.

As you arrive at the front of the home, the stone cladding immediately sets the tone and anchors the entry, giving the façade a strong and refined presence, and as you move through the entryway your eye is drawn to the floating stairs, which create a sense of openness while still feeling solid and intentional in the space. Along the side of the house, we have built a series of steps that guide you naturally up toward the side entry, supported by a recycled railway sleeper retaining wall that curves gently through the landscape, adding warmth, texture, and an organic feel that softens the structure of the home.

Out the front, Dean has been working flat out, and the driveway is now well into construction, with crazy pave going down and already changing how the entire approach to the house feels, giving it character and a sense of permanence. As we head out the back, the team is deep into the fire pit area, again using crazy pave, with metal edging installed to keep everything clean and sharp while allowing the stonework to really stand out as a feature designed for gathering and long evenings outdoors.

Further into the backyard, the raised deck has taken shape, creating a strong platform for the wellness zone, with the sauna sitting perfectly in position and the ice bath set just below, forming a space that feels purposeful, balanced, and calm. Jack and Hamish have both been on this project from early on, and while three months on site is no small commitment, the progress has flown by and the finish line is now clearly in sight, with everything starting to feel cohesive and complete.

We have a couple more weeks of hard work ahead, but the end result is going to be something special, so stay tuned because this is one you will definitely want to see finished.
