To create a luxurious riverfront garden in Bulimba that could feel resort-like, layered and private while standing up to harsh full-sun conditions. The project needed to balance striking street appeal, complex levels, poolside planting, rooftop gardens and long-term care across multiple outdoor zones.
Brooke’s Blooms was involved from design through to construction and ongoing garden care. The front entry features Livistona australis and Brachychiton rupestris, underplanted with Gardenia, Buxus, Rhaphiolepis, Loropetalum, Crassula, Blechnum and Zamia for layered texture. Tristaniopsis screening and Pittosporum ‘Miss Muffet’ create driveway privacy, while the backyard uses retaining walls, mounded planting and sunken garden areas to add depth around the pool. The planting palette includes Michelia champaca alba, Viburnum, Doryanthes, Dichondra, Pennisetum, Aloe, Kalanchoe ‘Silver Spoons’ and a rooftop planter with hardy planting and a feature olive tree.
A refined Bulimba riverfront landscape that feels like stepping into a private resort. The garden brings together strong levels, layered planting, privacy, texture and ongoing horticultural care, creating a luxurious outdoor environment designed to grow, soften and become even more beautiful over time.
