To transform a flood-affected riverfront property in Tennyson into a functional, resilient and luxurious outdoor environment. With steep levels, poor drainage, limited usability and no machinery access from the street, the project required careful planning, structural expertise and a barge-based construction approach.
Brooke’s Blooms rebuilt the landscape from the ground up, reshaping the steep riverbank into a series of usable outdoor zones. The project included engineered retaining walls, deep screw piles, reconstructed decking, floating concrete stairs, curved Corten steel garden beds, travertine tiling and a riverfront spa. All machinery, materials and waste were transported by barge, including an 8-tonne excavator, while the pool by Rogers Pools was integrated into the overall landscape design.
A complete riverfront transformation designed for family living, entertaining and long-term durability. The once inaccessible backyard now features connected lawn, pool, spa and play zones, with layered cottage-style planting and sweeping Brisbane River views creating a personal, elegant and highly functional outdoor retreat.
