The Challenge

To transform the overgrown Paddington garden of UK musician Example into a functional, family-friendly outdoor space. The garden had become crowded, difficult to maintain and underused, with hidden areas that needed to be opened up for children, planting and everyday enjoyment.

Brooke's Blooms Solution

Brooke’s Blooms cleared overgrown rosemary, Dions, passionfruit vine, old Zoysia and other crowded planting to reset the garden. The new design introduced Viburnum screening, Liriope, pollinator-friendly Salvia Mystic Spires, dwarf citrus, herbs and a playful “peekaboo” garden section for the children. Edible and sensory planting, including oregano, thyme, rosemary, chillies, lemon and lime, made the space practical and interactive.

The Result

A lush, usable and family-focused Paddington garden that feels calmer, more open and easier to maintain. The transformation created stronger street presence, better movement, edible planting and playful moments for the children while giving the home a softer, more inviting outdoor experience.
