To create a landscape for Clay House in New Farm that connected a restored 1890s cottage with a contemporary rear extension. The garden needed to bridge old and new, bring softness to the architecture and make a compact inner-city site feel generous, functional and charming.
Brooke’s Blooms delivered the landscape design and construction with careful attention to New Farm’s cottage character. The front garden used Lavender and a feature Tabebuia Palmerii to create a classic Brisbane welcome, while the rear garden centred around a compact Plungie pool. A rooftop terrace with olive trees, citrus and herbs added a Mediterranean entertaining layer to the home.
A beautifully resolved inner-city garden that adds warmth, function and lifestyle to the home. The landscape connects the heritage cottage and contemporary extension, creating a layered Brisbane garden with charm, practicality and strong architectural appeal.
