To create a peaceful coastal garden retreat on Minjerribah, North Stradbroke Island, that felt deeply connected to land, sea and place. The landscape needed to honour the island’s natural beauty while creating privacy, softness, habitat value and a calming outdoor experience around the beach house.
Brooke’s Blooms designed and delivered an immersive native landscape using climate-resilient coastal planting, sandstone steps and layered garden beds. Every plant was chosen with purpose, from Lemon Myrtle for privacy screening to Banksia, Grevillea, Lomandra, native orchids and groundcovers for texture, movement, seasonal colour and habitat value. The result is a garden that feels natural, generous and grounded in place.
A soulful coastal garden that gives back to the island environment while creating a private, peaceful retreat. The finished landscape enhances the property with climate-resilient native planting, natural materials and an immersive outdoor experience designed for rest, creativity and connection.
