Brookes Blooms Brings the Fun at the Brisbane Lions’ Opening Round
The AFL season kicked off in style at the Brisbane Lions vs Western Bulldogs opening round match — and Brookes Blooms was right in the middle of the action!
During quarter time, the crowd was treated to a colourful and high-energy activation: the Brookes Blooms Wheelbarrow Challenge. Two lucky fans were selected from the stands for the chance to win a $300 Brookes Blooms voucher along with a special Brookes Blooms gift bag packed with floral goodies.
The rules were simple… but the competition was fierce.
Each contestant had to kick as many balls as possible into wheelbarrows being pushed around the field by our very own two Joels, who were tasked with steering the targets in all directions. To make things even more fun (and a lot more fabulous), everyone involved had to wear bright pink wigs — because nothing says Brookes Blooms like a pop of colour!
With the Joels zig-zagging across the grass and contestants racing against the clock, the stadium was full of laughter, cheers, and plenty of near-misses. Fans in the crowd quickly got behind their favourite competitor as the balls flew and the wheelbarrows filled.
In the end, our winners walked away with the bragging rights, the voucher, and their Brookes Blooms gift bags — but the real win was the electric atmosphere and the smiles shared across the stadium.
